Colorado Governor Jared Polis, in tandem with the bipartisan Western Governors’ Association, launched an initiative to educate the public and policymakers on the incredible geothermal energy opportunities across the west. Some recommendations from the report (read the whole report here) are the following: leverage data from the oil and gas industry, provide tools and resources to help proponents navigate the geothermal development process, and support workforce development in the geothermal industry.

Jobs in US energy grew 3.8% in 2022, led by work in clean energy

The U.S. Energy and Employment Report showed jobs in clean energy, a wide category including wind and solar power, nuclear, and grid technologies and battery storage, grew about 3.9%, adding 114,000 jobs. There are still many jobs in clean energy to come as projects begin to take off across the country.
